On September 18, the final match of the 2022 European Basketball Championship was held, which was broadcast live on the First Channel of the Public Broadcaster. The teams of France and Spain faced each other in the final. The score ended 88:76 in favor of Spain. The Spanish basketball team is the champion of EuroBasket 2022.

The game started at 22:19 Tbilisi time and was watched by an average of 42 thousand viewers per minute. During the match, 11% of the total viewers were directed to the FIRST CHANNEL of Georgian Public Broadcaster.  

78% of the viewers of the match were from Tbilisi, and 22% were from the region. Regarding the age distribution of viewers of the final, the channel had the largest number of viewers, 27%, in the category of men aged 45-62 years, and in the case of women, the highest percentage (21%) - in the age category 18-45 years. 

Also yesterday took place the third place match between Germany and Poland which started at 20:10 Tbilisi time and ended with Germany's victory. 34,000 TV viewers watched the match.

As a result of the broadcast of these two matches the audience rate of the FIRST CHANNEL of Georgian Public Broadcaster increased and ranked third position in the list of TV channels.
